This game is really good. The different items and mechanics are balanced in a way that promotes experimentation, and all in all it is an extremely high quality game, even despite how early it is in development. The single only reason why I'm giving it four stars instead of 5 is because it seems like the game suffers from retrograde amnesia. Occasionally I'll find that several crates that I set to unlock are just in my inventory when I check hours later. It's annoying, but not a dealbreaker.

levels are great, most of the enemys are VERY unique. the only enemies I'd say isnt unique is the sentry, and... that chomper thing in the crystal quarries. at times it can feel a bit unfair tho. like- mate, do we really need 7 tetherhawks in that ONE PLACE? but the amount of things you can do heavily outweighs it. and the node? for not even doing damage it is, I'd argue. the best weapon in the game. it means you can shove just a couple more spikes, just a couple more overdrive cells. and more.

I should note that I've only just recently got into Corebound, but here's my review anyways: This game is great. 10/10. The level design is compelling, the story is juuuust vague enough that I want to learn more, but not so vague as to leave me confused as to what's happening. The weapons are all somewhat useful in their own right (saw someone complaining that Ranger was the only viable weapon, which is blatantly false. I did every level with the nova.) Overall it's just a great game.
